The Center for Head Injury Services is seeking a PRN speech therapist who will align with our mission of shaping brighter futures for individuals with disabilities. JOB TITLE: Speech Language Pathologist
JOB PURPOSE: Evaluate consumers and provide speech and language therapies for consumers. Write evaluation reports and individualize treatment plans for people served and measure progress on goals. 


  • Conduct speech-language-cognitive evaluations.
  • Write evaluation reports, treatment plans and other required documentation.
  • Design treatment tasks; implements with consumers and trains other staff to assist.
  • Lead groups as needed.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with other therapy staff (PT, OT) for comprehensive treatment.
  • Provides consumer/family education as needed.
  • Work with physicians on treatment plan and patient needs.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of speech-language therapy/pathology.  Missouri license for speech-language pathology. Work experience with head injury population or social service background preferred.
